I've always assumed that DSTM would only be useful in the very late
stages of IPv6 rollout. Also, I believe that BIA is just as useful
for the interesting scenario (IPv6 clients using IPv4-only apps on an
IPv6 server). But BIA is much simpler to implement and deploy,
and it doesn't consume real IPv4 addresses.
So my opinion is that DSTM could safely be put on ice for a couple
of years, for future review. Certainly, we should wait until the NGTRANS
scenarios have been defined, as discussed in the meeting yesterday.
